Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AbleHearts' website and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
- You must be at least 18 years old to donate
- You must have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
- These terms constitute a legally binding agreement
- By donating, you accept these terms automatically
Donations & Payments
All donations made through AbleHearts are voluntary contributions to support Mary and Lydia. By making a donation, you agree to the following terms:
- All donations are final and non-refundable once processed (except as noted in Section 3)
- Donations are used exclusively for Mary & Lydia's support (medical care, wheelchairs, education, housing)
- You receive a tax receipt for all donations (where applicable)
- We reserve the right to refuse donations that appear fraudulent or suspicious
- Recurring donations can be canceled anytime for future payments (past donations are non-refundable)
- Currency conversion rates may vary; you're charged in your local currency
Refund Policy
We understand that mistakes happen. Here's our refund policy:
- Refunds Available: Within 30 days of donation, if donation not yet allocated
- Duplicate Donations: Full refund if you accidentally donated twice
- Technical Errors: Full refund if payment processor error occurred
- Refunds NOT Available: After 30 days, or if funds already spent on Mary/Lydia's care
- To request refund: Email donations@able-hearts.org with transaction ID
- Refunds processed within 5-7 business days to original payment method
Use of Services
You agree to use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. Prohibited activities include:
- ❌ Attempting to hack, disrupt, or compromise our security
- ❌ Using our services to launder money or commit fraud
- ❌ Submitting false information or impersonating others
- ❌ Scraping, data mining, or automated access without permission
- ❌ Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code
- ❌ Harassing staff, volunteers, or other donors
- ❌ Using our services for any illegal activity
Intellectual Property
All content on AbleHearts' website is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- Our Content: Text, graphics, logos, photos, videos are owned by AbleHearts or licensed
- You May: Share our content on social media with attribution
- You May NOT: Reproduce, modify, or sell our content without written permission
- Mary & Lydia's Photos: Used with consent; do not reuse without permission
- Trademarks: "AbleHearts" and our logo are trademarks
- Fair use applies for news reporting, education, or commentary
User Accounts
If you create a donor account with AbleHearts:
- You're responsible for maintaining password security
- You must provide accurate, current information
- You agree to notify us immediately of unauthorized access
- One account per person (no duplicate accounts)
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations
- You can delete your account anytime by contacting us
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
AbleHearts provides services "as is" without warranties. We make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free website operation
- Complete accuracy of all information posted
- That donations will solve all of Mary & Lydia's problems
- Specific outcomes from medical treatments or services
- Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, AbleHearts is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- Maximum Liability: Limited to the amount you donated
- This doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer
Third-Party Services
We use third-party payment processors and services:
- Payment Processors: Stripe, PayPal, Binance Pay (subject to their terms)
- Not Responsible: For third-party service failures or errors
- Disputes: Payment issues should be resolved with the processor
- We don't control or endorse third-party websites we link to
- External links are provided for convenience only
- Review privacy policies of any third-party services you use
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with AbleHearts:
- Step 1: Contact us at donations@able-hearts.org to resolve informally
- Step 2: If unresolved, we agree to mediation before litigation

- Jurisdiction: Courts of [Your Jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction
